Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Regina. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing mechanical and technical direction and service to our fleet of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems with heavy equipment and vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
  • Repair or replace worn parts and systems.
  • Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systems.
  • Identify mechanical and electrical problems using manual and computerized diagnostic equipment.

Requirements:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver abstract (class 1A preferred).
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a postsecondary program in heavy equipment mechanical repair.
  • Experience with electronic systems maintenance and repair.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Physical strength and stamina, and the ability to lift over 50 pounds.

This is a safety-sensitive position, and the successful applicant will be required to complete pre-employment medical testing, including a drug and alcohol screening.
