Job Purpose

The Receiving Associate will work under the direction of the Overnight Supervisor and will be responsible for the daily putting and receiving duties as outlined below. Associates in this role are responsible for the accuracy, efficiency, and security of product as it enters the distribution center, as well as for reporting any discrepancies, damages, or otherwise problematic occurrences with product in a timely, effective manner.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Receive products into the inventory management system
  2. Accountable for the accuracy of the inventory count as it is entered into the system
  3. Perform to the ongoing standards of our key metric indicators and performance metrics
  4. Report any and all count discrepancies, including damages, mis-ships, or unsafe/unsanitary conditions to the Receiving Coordinator and Overnight Supervisor immediately
  5. Ensure that all expiration dates fall within the rules and restrictions guidelines, report any short dated product to the Receiving Coordinator immediately
  6. Make ongoing recommendations for supplier and department improvement to the Receiving Manager
  7. Assist in other shipping duties, such as picking, packing, sorting and shipping, when required
  8. Ensure that the receiving area is kept clean and safe from all debris, skids are stored safely, receiving docks are always cleared, pump trucks are stored with forks buried, and all health and safety rules are met with full compliance.
  9. Other duties as required
Qualifications
  1. 2-years of experience in a warehouse production environment
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Analytical and detail oriented
  4. Excellent time management skills
  5. Highly organized
  6. Self-motivated, initiative-driven, and team-minded
Working Environment

This position is in a warehouse environment and requires extended periods of walking and standing. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
