Senior Finance Analyst

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Analyst to join our team in Toronto, ON. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing senior analysts, reviewing financial data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee senior analysts in completing financial reconciliations, reviewing public disclosures, and discussing ad-hoc work with current managers.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the consolidated Bank and business segments Basel III reporting processes, including BCAR, New Credit Risk (NCR), and Pillar 3.
  • Work closely with the Chiefs Basel Reporting team and other departments to understand the impact of regulatory reporting and operational requirements related to Basel III projects.
  • Oversee and review various tasks within Chief's Basel Reporting, including financial reconciliation, analysis, validation of results, and issues investigation.
  • Complete various quarterly Pillar 3 public disclosures.
  • Be involved in testing related to quarterly technology releases or projects impacting the regulatory floor, NCR, or Pillar 3.
  • Provide status updates and escalate issues to other Managers, Senior Manager, Chiefs - Regulatory Reporting, and Associate Vice-President, Chiefs Regulatory Reporting.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work in a team environment and independently.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Experience within a large financial organization.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including V lookups, pivot tables, and formulas.
  • Ability to work weekends during quarter ends.
  • HFM knowledge.
  • Critical thinking skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of the Basel capital frameworks.

  • Assignment start date: ASAP - 9 months.
  • Assignment location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid.
