Job Summary

Hydro One Networks Inc is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Area Distribution Engineering Technician to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for assisting with engineering investigations, preparing layouts, and conducting field data collection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with engineering investigations for new customer connections and upgrades
  • Prepare layouts and sketches for water, rail, and pipeline crossings
  • Meet with representatives of telephone, cable TV companies, and other utilities to obtain reaction to proposed joint use agreements
  • Prepare and process billing authorization and permits
  • Carry out staking activities and prepare staking data
  • Provide field data for engineering studies
  • Collect delinquent accounts and restore service upon payment
Requirements
  • Enrolled in an Electrical or Civil Engineering Tech program, minimum 1st year
  • Valid and current G2 class driver's license
