Senior Geotechnical Engineer

We are a rapidly expanding, employee-owned consulting firm with projects across Canada and the US. Our team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Calgary office and lead the development and execution of geotechnical engineering services for our ongoing projects and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project management, including project initiation, coordination, and execution
  • Assisting in business development
  • Mentoring and managing intermediate and junior engineers
  • Planning, overseeing, and executing geotechnical site investigations
  • Conducting site inspections
  • Geotechnical design and analysis, including soil and rock engineering, soil dynamics, slope stability, and foundations
  • Reporting and technical writing
  • Site inspection and supervision
Requirements:
  • Geotechnical or Civil engineering degree
  • Registered as, or the ability to immediately register as, a P.Eng. in Canada
  • Computer and software skills to complete geotechnical analysis, including GeoStudio, LPile, APile, Settle3D
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel and work in the field as required
  • Valid driver's license and eligibility to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in Geotechnical Engineering
  • Experience with large civil earthworks construction projects
  • Knowledge of earthen dams and/or tailings dams
