We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Operator to join our team at the Macassa Mine Site in Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
The Macassa Mine is a high-grade gold producer with a strong focus on safety and productivity. As a Mine Operator, you will be responsible for supporting mine operations and working collaboratively with our team to achieve our goals.
Responsibilities- Perform Mechanical Cut and Fill Mining, Non-Captive Stope, and Undercut and Fill Mining tasks
- Competently perform all Mining 3 & 4 functions (Prod./Dev't)
- Demonstrate competence in relevant UG Hardrock common core
- Housekeeping – keep work areas clean and free from hazards
- Communication – listen to and communicate with others, keep accurate records
- Teamwork – work with others to meet and exceed daily KPI's
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Miner 3 or equivalent, with a strong physical presence and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Miner 3 or equivalent (> 4 years UG)
- Physically Fit, self-starter with a can-do attitude
- Tolerance for hot, cold, and humid environments
- Demonstrated Safety awareness
- Literacy and Numeracy to minimum year/grade 10
