We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at RSR Road Surface Recycling Limited. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment used in our road surface recycling operations.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment
You will be responsible for identifying and troubleshooting faults and malfunctions in our heavy equipment, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
Diagnose and Repair FaultsUsing your technical expertise, you will diagnose faults and malfunctions, and perform repairs or replacements as necessary to ensure our equipment is running efficiently and effectively.
Order Parts and Maintain InventoryYou will be responsible for ordering parts and maintaining inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary components to perform repairs and maintenance.
Adjust and Test EquipmentAfter repairs, you will adjust and test equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and meets manufacturers' specifications.
Perform Routine MaintenanceYou will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
Requirements- Education
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience2 years to less than 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
Work SettingAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying locations
Physical CapabilitiesAbility to lift, bend, and work in a physically demanding environment
Personal SuitabilityAccurate, dependable, reliable, team player, organized, and willing to travel
Work ConditionsThis is a permanent, full-time position with 40 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
