About the Role

The Manitoba Government is seeking a highly skilled Project Planner to join our team. As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for evaluating, prioritizing, and recommending infrastructure projects to support the government's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and prioritize infrastructure projects to ensure alignment with government priorities and strategic objectives
  • Develop and implement project plans, including project scope, timelines, and budgets
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including government departments, contractors, and consultants
  • Manage project risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including financial and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective project delivery

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field, such as project management, engineering, architecture, or business administration
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project planning, coordination, or management
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
