**Job Summary**

As a Senior Data Analyst with the City of Toronto, you will play a key role in supporting the Division's operations planning and service delivery efforts. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for data analysis and geographic information systems (GIS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research, analyze data, and prepare reports on various aspects of operations activities, including productivity, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other data management systems to support decision-making and reporting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement GIS applications and maps to support asset management and operational activities.
  • Provide administrative support, including creating and updating collection route maps and associated documents.
  • Prepare and present reports and presentations to senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with budget preparation and provide data-driven insights to inform divisional decisions.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Geographic Analysis, Urban Studies, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Experience with GIS software, including ArcView and/or ArcGIS Pro, as well as data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information, as required.
