Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Assistant to join our team at Valmon Construction Ltd. The successful candidate will assist in various construction tasks, including loading and transporting materials, mixing and applying concrete and asphalt, and directing traffic at construction sites.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials as required
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the supervision of experienced personnel
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, following all safety protocols
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the general public
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position
  • Experience is an asset, but not necessary
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment, following instructions and working independently
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to direct traffic and interact with colleagues and the public
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy materials
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic construction environment, with varying weather conditions and physical demands. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
