Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at the Saskatoon Health Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

About the Role

This is a part-time regular position that involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. As a Physician Assistant, you will be an integral member of the healthcare team, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. You will also have opportunities to develop your skills and expertise through ongoing education and training.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of patient conditions
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care
- Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices in the field

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan
- Current certification as a Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through the Physicians' Assistants Certification Committee (PACC)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Membership and licensure in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan as a PA
- Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (for applicants outside of Saskatchewan)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificate (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (PALS)
- Trauma experience or training
