Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Apprentice Mechanic to join our team at Imperial Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd. As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced technicians in the repair and maintenance of truck and trailer systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues in truck and trailer systems to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Review work orders and estimate parts and labor costs for repairs and maintenance.
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Assist in the repair and replacement of parts and components of truck and trailer systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a workshop setting.
  • Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement or equivalent certification.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other required personal protective equipment.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • Workshop setting with exposure to mechanical equipment and tools.
  • 35 hours per week with occasional overtime.
  • Permanent full-time position.
  • English as the primary language of communication.
