Job Title: Electronics Technician

VSS Technologies Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our team. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and testing of electronic systems and components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports
  • Inspect, test, and adjust electronic components
  • Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments
  • Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications
  • Collect and compile operational or experimental data
  • Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems
  • Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in the field of electronics
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work at heights, in cold/refrigerated environments, and in hot environments
  • Ability to work outdoors and in various locations
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and sound discrimination
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with telecommunication systems, data communication equipment and systems, electric motors, generators, drives, and motor controls
  • Experience with radio communication equipment, automotive equipment and systems, electronic testing equipment and systems, building systems, medical and biomedical equipment and systems, and security systems
  • Experience with design, testing, installation, operations or production, repair, and troubleshooting
  • Basic security clearance, enhanced reliability security clearance, and criminal record check
