Job Summary:

Mircom Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for acquiring goods and services to satisfy the inventory needs of our manufacturing department while minimizing shortages and inventory costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire goods and services to meet inventory requirements while optimizing inventory levels.
  • Reduce part costs while improving quality and delivery times.
  • Expedite goods delivery when necessary.
  • Negotiate with vendors to maintain positive relationships.
  • Identify new and alternative suppliers for existing and new components.
  • Execute on MRP plans for purchase orders.

Requirements and Skills:

  • University, college, or technical post-secondary education.
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of purchasing experience.
  • Experience with AX or D365 systems an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop recommendations and strategic solutions.
  • Well-organized with ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to prioritize needs.
  • Team player.
