Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technician

About the Role:

Interior Health Authority is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our Medical Imaging team at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, B.C.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform cardiac ultrasound examinations and provide high-quality diagnostic images to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations using various modalities, including echocardiography and vascular ultrasound
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency
• Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Completion of a recognized program in diagnostic medical sonography
• Registration with the Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (CSDMS)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac sonography
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
