Job Description
The QA Engineer will oversee the testing and evaluation of hardware and software for our real-time, embedded, communications, and life-safety systems. This role reports directly to the Engineering Manager but works closely with all members of the Engineering department and other teams.

This position involves working on challenging projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. The QA Engineer will develop and maintain test plans, methodologies, and practices to evaluate new and updated designs effectively.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute QA activities with the product design team.
- Create and maintain test plans for standard products developed by our R&D Department.
- Establish and support the implementation of new processes, policies, and tools to enhance the Engineering Department's capabilities and effectiveness.
- Identify, define, and implement new processes, policies, and standards to improve the department's performance.
- Report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment, and tools to Senior Management immediately.

Requirements and Skills
- Good working knowledge of current testing methodologies and practices in a modern electronics manufacturing / lab environment.
- Several years of experience in hardware and software testing using various technology and test equipment in a real-time, process control environment.
- Excellent knowledge of codes and standards governing the fire alarm industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to create clear and comprehensive test reports.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while functioning well in a team environment.
