Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist

Job Summary:

Mackenzie Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in the Core Lab at the CVH site. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a critical role in the promotion and treatment of health conditions by performing and interpreting diagnostic laboratory tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine bench work according to established methodologies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive working knowledge of the theory, system methodologies, and equipment for all required tests.
  • Report patient test results in a timely manner, ensuring they meet accuracy and reproducibility standards.
  • Analyze and interpret results, taking appropriate action when necessary.
  • Process specimens, test, document procedures and results, maintain, stock, and clean the working area.

Requirements:

  • Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) General Diploma from a recognized school of Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • Successful completion of certification exams for general registration from CSMLS.
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
  • Experience in core lab, including Hematology, Chemistry, and Transfusion Medicine, required.
