Senior Manager, RESL Portfolio Management

Scotiabank is seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to lead our RESL Portfolio Management team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the effective management of our mortgage and HELOC portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement analytical frameworks to assess portfolio performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement risk management strategies and policies.
  • Provide thought leadership on credit risk management and portfolio optimization.
  • Lead the development of business cases and recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage and analyze complex data sets to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of experience in credit risk management, portfolio management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • University degree in a relevant field, such as mathematics, statistics, or economics.
