Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain our Quality Management System documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough audits, write detailed reports, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Initiate corrective actions, assess response plans, and conduct follow-up verifications to ensure compliance.
  • Perform product compliance reviews, including documentation, to ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Carry out aircraft quality product conformance and verifications, write reports, and initiate appropriate actions.
  • Participate in technical investigations, assess results, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and approvals to ensure compliance with our quality standards.
  • Participate in the Safety Management Program and 6S surveys to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external customers on quality matters, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Draft reports, maintain records, and files, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Participate in and support the Quality Department's training program, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
Requirements:
  • DEC or bachelor's degree in an aviation-related field, with coursework in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Graduate Technologist/Technician or equivalent work experience in aircraft maintenance, manufacturing, or repair and overhaul.
  • 3 years' experience in a quality assurance/quality control role, with a strong understanding of AS9100 or equivalent QMS systems.
  • 1 year of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity, with a proven track record of leading teams and driving results.
  • Formal aerospace avionics/electrical/mechanical background, with a strong understanding of quality procedures related to the aerospace industry.
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on MS Excel for data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead discussions and chair meetings.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple assignments, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment, with a strong understanding of Federal Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Quality Management certification, an asset.
