About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our team at VISMA IT CONSULTING INC. as a key member of our software development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Write, modify, integrate, and test software code to meet the requirements of our clients.
  • Software Maintenance: Maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required to ensure they continue to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Technical Communication: Communicate technical problems, processes, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software.
  • Requirements Gathering: Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements to ensure software meets the needs of our clients.
  • Specifications Development: Assist in the development of logical and physical specifications for software development projects.
  • Research and Evaluation: Research and evaluate a variety of software products to identify the best solutions for our clients.
  • Animation Software Development: Program animation software to predefined specifications for interactive CDs, DVDs, video game cartridges, and Internet-based applications.
  • E-commerce and Internet Applications: Write, modify, integrate, and test software code for e-commerce and other Internet applications.
  • Consulting: Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support and ensure they are satisfied with the software solutions we provide.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in software development, preferably in a similar role.
  • Cultural Competency: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Indigenous Support: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Work Environment: Permanent position with 35 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
