About the Role:
  • Supervise the grocery department and staff, acting as the go-to person in the absence of the Department Manager and Assistant.
  • Foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs, and contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Functions:
  1. Keep work areas clean and presentable at all times.
  2. Remain current with weekly and in-store specials.
  3. Ensure accurate labeling of products through adherence to company pricing strategies.
  4. Foster a shopping experience that engages customers, enhancing loyalty, sales, and profit.
  5. Run, monitor, and analyze sales data reports.
  6. Monitor and ensure compliance with SOP, OH&S, and other corporate initiatives.
  7. Monitor execution of company inventory control procedures.
  8. Lead the department according to company presentation standards.
  9. Act as the departmental "go-to" person in charge of the department when required.
  10. Recruit, train, develop, motivate, and coach employees, providing regular feedback to support the department leadership team.
  11. Schedule and monitor breaks, back-ups, and other departmental activities.
  12. Participate in final inventory calculations.
  13. Follow store lock-up procedures when required.
  14. Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 12 months of experience.
  • Full knowledge of department operations and skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

The starting salary range for this position in British Columbia is $17.45-$24.50 per hour. We consider factors such as your working location, work experience, and skills, as well as internal equity and market conditions, to ensure fair and competitive compensation.
