Environmental Project Lead

Hydro One Networks Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Project Lead to join our team. As an Environmental Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading large and complex environmental projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and developing and implementing environmental management plans.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage environmental projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and within budget delivery.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and other environmental specialists, to ensure effective project delivery.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, Indigenous communities, and interest groups.
- Conduct environmental assessments and impact studies, and develop mitigation measures to minimize environmental impacts.
- Develop and implement environmental monitoring and reporting programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring that environmental considerations are integrated into project planning and delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in environmental regulations, policies, and best practices, and ensure that company policies and procedures are aligned with these changes.
- Master's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in environmental project management, with a focus on large and complex projects.
- Proven track record of leading and managing environmental projects, ensuring timely and within budget delivery.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and best practices, including the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act and the Ontario Environmental Protection Act.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions to complex environmental problems.
