Job Title: Asset Management Senior Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Management Senior Manager to join our team at Employment and Social Development Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the acquisition, disposal, and maintenance of real property assets, as well as overseeing the administration of contracts and financial resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the acquisition, disposal, and maintenance of real property assets, including managing projects to acquire, dispose, build, lease, or renovate real property.
  • Oversee the administration of contracts and financial resources, including costing, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on variances.
  • Manage human resources, including coaching/training, performance management, and human resource planning.
  • Review construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements related to real property management services.

Requirements:

  • Graduation with a degree, certificate, or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a discipline relevant to the duties of the position, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Experience providing facility accommodation and/or real property management services.
  • Experience in managing contracts and administering the delivery of services.
  • Experience in managing financial resources.
  • Experience in reviewing construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience managing human resources.
  • Experience in successful negotiations in real property management services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Knowledge of government policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
