About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at GUAVAS SHAWARMA. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements to meet customer demand.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including those for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine.
  • Halal food preparation experience an asset.
