Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Flight Management to join our team at Confederation College. As a Professor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our Aviation Flight Management program, which includes earning an advanced diploma and Commercial Pilot License.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and evaluate student progress in the classroom and lab environment
  • Evaluate student progress and achievement
  • Actively contribute to student success and provide operational oversight and control of flight operations
  • Supervise and guide flight instructors
  • Assist with curriculum and program development
  • Participate in departmental functions and initiatives
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 or 2 Flight Instructor Rating
  • Valid Category 1 Medical Certificate
  • Minimum of 500 hours of flight instruction experience
  • Group 1 or Group 3 Instrument Rating
  • College Diploma in Aviation or Bachelor's degree in Education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Education
  • Minimum of five years experience in a leadership role relating to the aviation industry
  • Experience supervising Class 4 flight instructors or other flight operation supervision experience
