We are seeking an experienced maintenance professional to join our team at More Than A Roof Housing Society. As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of our facilities, including units, common areas, and grounds. This is a full-time position that requires 40 hours of work per week.
Responsibilities- Respond to requests for repairs in a timely manner, either by performing the work yourself or contracting service professionals.
- Conduct unit change-over cleaning and repairs, including painting and flooring as needed.
- Maintain organized maintenance files for all units, including a master file.
- Clean and maintain common areas, including laundry rooms and ventilation systems.
- Prepare units for tenant changeovers.
- Perform exterior building maintenance, including washing windows and power washing the exterior.
- Maintain secure key systems for parking garages.
- Research community resources to aid tenants in personal and professional growth.
- Assist tenants with life skills, such as cleaning and budgeting.
- Facilitate community development and tenant interaction.
- Plan and execute community functions and events.
- Two years of experience in maintenance (preferred).
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- $24.00 per hour.
