Job Title: Intermediate Healthcare Planner

B+H Architects is seeking an Intermediate Healthcare Planner to join our team in Toronto, Vancouver, or Calgary. As a key member of our Healthcare Architecture and Interior Design team, you will work on large-scale healthcare projects in Canada, providing expertise on medical planning, design, and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing medical planning deliverables and coordinating with the design team to create department floor plan concepts.
  • Provide expertise on institutional, ambulatory, and business occupancy environments, and serve as the main point of contact for clients on planning issues.
  • Work with end-users to outline process flows and critical adjacencies of clinical rooms, and understand and guide discussions on medical equipment needs.
  • Engage in problem-solving, teamwork, critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and visualization to create accurate and detailed drawings.
  • Prepare health planning presentation drawings, diagrams, and narratives, as well as drawings and specification documents.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Registered Architect preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in healthcare planning.
  • Clear understanding of applicable codes, building construction systems, materials, and standards.
  • Strong presentation, communication, organizational, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in REVIT, MS Office Suite, and Blue Beam.
