We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Monitor for Major Building Projects - Building Structure to join our team in Laval or Longueuil. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the successful execution of building projects across Quebec and internationally.
Your Responsibilities- Identify and resolve technical issues effectively with various stakeholders.
- Produce detailed site activity reports and monitor work progress meticulously.
- Coordinate closely with contractors to reconcile quantities accurately.
- Analyze project requirements and recommend additional work when necessary.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations on site at all times.
- Document project progress comprehensively and issue work compliance certificates.
- Participate actively in final project reports and 'as-built' plans.
- Review and approve contractor methods and work to ensure they meet technical specifications.
- Attend project meetings and coordination sessions as required.
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in civil engineering - structures.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in site monitoring - building structures.
- Registered member of the Quebec Order of Engineers (an asset).
- Relevant experience in consulting engineering (significant asset).
- ASP Construction Card.
- Ability to work at heights and inspect work effectively.
- Strong knowledge of standards and reinforcement inspections - multi-story formwork / reinforced concrete.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
