Insulation Technician

A1 Insulators Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and physically capable individual to join our team as an Insulation Technician. As an Insulation Technician, you will be responsible for installing and securing insulation materials in various settings, including construction, maintenance, and repair projects.

The successful candidate will have the ability to read blueprints, specifications, and other documents to determine work requirements, select the appropriate insulation materials, and apply and secure them using various methods. Additionally, they will be required to measure and cut insulation materials to the required shape and dimensions, fit insulation around obstructions, and install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials.

• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
• Select type of insulation required
• Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools
• Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation methods
• Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs
• Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials
• Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers
• Estimate costs and materials
• Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment

The Insulation Technician will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling. They will also need to have manual dexterity and be able to work in a team environment.
