Job Title: Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Matrix Cabinets LTD.

Job Summary:

The Carpenter will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements, and preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
  • Maintaining, repairing and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
Work Environment:

The Carpenter will work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments, handling heavy loads, and working in physically demanding conditions.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience.
