Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Excavations Superintendent to join our team at GBA DEMOLITION & EXCAVATING LTD. as a key member of our excavation and demolition operations.

About the Role:
  • This is a permanent position that requires a high level of expertise and leadership skills, with responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day activities of excavation and demolition projects.
  • You will be working closely with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to site personnel to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to ensure smooth project delivery, including supervising workers and coordinating work activities with other project supervisors or managers.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and establish methods to meet work schedules.
  • Requisition materials and supplies, read blueprints and drawings, and recommend personnel actions as necessary.
  • Supervise workers and projects, train or arrange for training, and co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers.
Requirements:
  • An estimated salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or excavation industry.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A basic security clearance is also required for this position.
