Our team works closely with home operator partners to promote resident health, staff education, and medication system quality and efficiency.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Pharmacist to provide services to three CareRx Pharmacy locations in the Vancouver, Lower Mainland. As a Pharmacist with CareRx, you will receive a weekly work schedule requiring you to support a specific location and/or work assignment. Work assignments will vary in nature according to business needs and will include, but not limited to: LTC dispensing, Retail, and OAT activities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, timely, and completely.
  • Complete daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
  • Consult with members of the pharmacy management team when there are unresolved issues surrounding day-to-day work functions.
  • Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx Pharmacy patients.
  • Communicate with all members of the resident care team while maintaining professionalism by following corporate policies to ensure the highest standard of customer care and quality of pharmacy service at all times.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and complete resident health records, ensuring appropriate documentation and continuity of care at all times.
  • Conduct medication regimen/profile reviews with associated documentation of recommendations.
  • Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations that govern the practice of pharmacy at all times.
  • Follow all corporate regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring of pharmacy inventory.
  • Participate in ongoing continuing education, remaining current in pharmaceutical, medical, and professional licensing information, in addition to corporate updates, policies, and standards.
  • Prepare and compound medications when required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, fully licensed in College of Pharmacists of BC and in good standing.
  • Completion of the BCPhA OAT-CAMPP training program - Mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with other healthcare professionals.
  • Experience with Kroll Software.
  • Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
  • Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision, and able to work independently.
  • Skilled in critical thought processes and able to prioritize appropriately.
  • Adaptable to internal work changes.
  • Previous pharmacy experience an asset.
  • Availability must include Monday to Friday, with some weekend availability.
