BILINGUAL SALES ENGINEER

Location: Eastern Canada - Toronto or Montreal

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Sales Engineer with Amphenol Industrial Products Group (AIPG), you will play a pivotal role in advocating for our comprehensive range of industrial products while showcasing our exceptional manufacturing capabilities and innovative processes that enhance connector value. The successful candidate will excel in a dynamic, high-tech manufacturing atmosphere and collaborate effectively within a matrix organization. Bilingual proficiency and residence in the greater Toronto or Montreal area are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties will encompass the identification of new business accounts and program opportunities, setting strategic account objectives, establishing market positioning, and aligning selling strategies with the Product Marketing Group. You will also coordinate sales activities with the OEM sales team, conduct quarterly management reviews, and manage forecasting and other exempt responsibilities as needed.

Key objectives include:

  • Expand the customer base by achieving a minimum 15% year-on-year growth in OEM orders.
  • Generate demand by securing market positioning on new designs.
  • Develop a robust project pipeline of new customer opportunities to facilitate future growth.
  • Identify emerging technologies and potential acquisitions to enhance organic growth.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities also include:

  • Assessing business potential within the Sales Territory and direct product sales.
  • Creating a one-year billing and booking forecast for accounts, ensuring sales penetration of identified potential.
  • Collaborating with product groups to set objectives and strategies to meet forecasts.
  • Establishing individual account objectives, including product callouts and order budgets.
  • Submitting a six-month booking forecast to the Regional Sales Manager with ±15% accuracy.
  • Identifying decision-makers within accounts and coordinating activities through them.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Engineering, or Marketing) along with 2-4 years of directly related experience is required. The ability to represent the organization professionally at assigned accounts and effectively coordinate sales through the selling organization is essential.
