The Role

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Finance expert to join our team as Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance. This key role will report directly into the Director, Corporate Finance, and will be part of the broader FP&A team at Enercare. The successful candidate will work closely with the FP&A team, other parts of Finance, and the Business (Product/Sales/Operations) to deliver strategic financial insights and support.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the preparation of the 5-year strategic business plan, including providing support for materials to communicate the strategic direction of the business and assisting with accumulating assumptions and inputs for financial forecasts;
  • Assist in updating the long-term corporate finance valuation model in support of our strategic planning and financing initiatives;
  • Provide support in updating Enercare's IRR and profitability models by product line;
  • Liaise with Product teams and other business functions to help gather inputs to prepare business cases and present to various internal stakeholders;
  • Support the monthly forecasting and financial outlook process, while collaborating with various finance and business partners;
  • Contribute to the preparation of executive and board presentation materials for stakeholders;
  • Assist with various special projects as required and ad-hoc requests from Private Equity sponsors;
  • Take ownership of final KPIs and financials presented to various stakeholders as part of key internal and external deliverables in collaboration with the FP&A team;
  • Support internal finance teams in analysing legacy deliverables and processes with an aim to make them more efficient and effective;

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • Professional accounting or finance designation required (e.g., CPA, CFA, MFin, MBA);
  • 2-4 years of progressive experience in Corporate Finance, investment banking, equity research, or valuation;
  • Experience in advisory (valuation or transaction services) or private equity considered an asset;
  • Experience in contributing to/coordinating materials and presentations for boards or senior stakeholder groups;
  • Proficiency in Excel, including financial modelling skills required;
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to interpret financial data to understand identify trends, assess commercial impacts, and communicate results with reference to broader corporate strategy;
  • Relationship building skills and proven ability to develop strong working relationships across an organization;
  • Must be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines;
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility; must be able to prioritize or deprioritize tasks based on business needs;
  • Understanding of key valuation metrics (e.g., IRR, NPV, leverage multiples);
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong presentation skills and experience communicating with Executive Leadership;
  • A self-starter with strong attention to detail and a focus on meeting deadlines;
  • Ability to prioritise, critically analyse, solve and where appropriate, escalate issues;
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills;

Salary Range:$80,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience
