About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and food safety.
  • Dishroom Operations: Operate dishwashers, wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and flatware by hand, and maintain a clean and organized dishroom.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of simple food items, such as portioning and wrapping foods, and preparing ingredients for cooking.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Housekeeping: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including floors, walls, and equipment, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with heavy loads, overtime required, and physically demanding tasks.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Schedule: 32 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts.
