About the Role

The 3D Custom Product Designer is a key member of our design team, responsible for creating custom mixed media art projects for the hospitality industry. This role involves designing and engineering both large and small-scale art pieces, from in-room artwork to free-standing sculptures. The 3D Designer collaborates with our team of designers, our in-house factory, and external manufacturing partners to bring each project from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptualization: Develop innovative design concepts for custom mixed media art projects based on client briefs and industry trends.
  • Design Development: Apply strong design sense to create compelling visuals that align with client branding and the aesthetic requirements of hospitality spaces.
  • Technical and Execution: Utilize design software (SolidWorks and KeyShot) to create detailed 3D models and renderings of designs. Oversee the creation of 3D prototypes, employing methods to refine and validate design concepts.
  • Project Management: Develop comprehensive production instructions and methods to guide the manufacturing of custom-designed products.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Industrial Design, Hospitality Design, or a related field; 3-5 years of relevant experience in a design role.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator) and experienced with 3D design software (SolidWorks and KeyShot).
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to transform general concepts into finished, high-quality products.
  • Strong innovative and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming design challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
