About the Role

Rahelu Plumbing & Heating Ltd. is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Installation
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
    • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
    • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
  • Pipe Fitting and Testing
    • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
    • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Pipe Sizing and Measurement
    • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
    • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
  • Environmental and Social Responsibilities
    • Contribute to a green job by performing duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
  • Support for Diverse Groups
    • Participate in mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
    • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.
    • Work 35 to 40 hours per week.
    • Work in a team-oriented environment with a focus on collaboration and communication.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in plumbing.
