Job Summary

We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Suncor. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring the smooth operation of our mining and production processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment, such as haul trucks, excavators, and bulldozers, in a safe and efficient manner
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Monitor and maintain equipment performance, reporting any issues or concerns to maintenance personnel
  • Collaborate with other operators and support staff to achieve production goals and ensure a safe working environment
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Must self-identify as Indigenous Status / Non-status
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) or 10+ years of work experience
  • Have a valid full Class 5 Drivers License at time of application
  • Must currently reside within the RMWB
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
