About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Carpentry Assistant at Orchard View Builders Ltd. This is a permanent position that requires a valid driver's license and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials from vehicles and equipment.
  • Site Preparation: Help prepare construction sites by leveling earth to fine grade specifications and paving and raking asphalt.
  • Demolition and Debris Removal: Assist in demolishing buildings and removing rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Tend to or feed machines or equipment used in construction and direct traffic at or near construction sites.
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, and clean and pile salvaged materials.
  • Environmental Safety: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and assist in maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
