Job Title: Industry-Based Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industry-Based Trainer to join our team at Toromont Cat. As an Industry-Based Trainer, you will be responsible for training students in practical shop work sessions, preparing teaching materials and outlines for courses, and operating audio-visual equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train students in practical shop work sessions
  • Prepare teaching materials and outlines for courses
  • Operate audio-visual equipment
  • Deliver lectures and presentations
  • Lead discussion groups and seminars
  • Teach workshops to trades students
  • Teach students through lectures, discussions, audio-visual presentations and laboratory, shop and field studies
  • Provide staff training
  • Develop course content
  • Identify workers' training needs
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Heavy equipment operation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
