Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team in providing treatment and care management services to individuals with mental illness and concurrent disorders.

Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating care, conducting mental health assessments, developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans, and providing direct nursing care to clients.

You will work collaboratively with our interprofessional care team to ensure seamless integration and continuity of care across the continuum.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Able to complete initial and ongoing mental health and substance use client assessment
  • Knowledge of mental illness and substance use treatment
  • Knowledge of psychopharmacology
  • Counselling and group facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of legislation and government policies
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Able to promote person-centered care
  • Able to educate clients and families
  • Able to organize and prioritize work
  • Able to collaborate with and promote cooperation among team members
  • Able to use factual information to support nursing decisions
  • Able to operate related equipment
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
