About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at PGG Construction Corp. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of finishes in our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, Cut, and Assemble Materials: You will measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to ensure precise fits and finishes.
  • Install Windows, Doors, and Staircases: You will fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Schedule and Coordinate Work: You will schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure timely completion of projects and meet deadlines.
  • Train and Supervise Apprentices: You will instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure they meet the required standards of quality and safety.
  • Estimate Costs and Materials: You will estimate costs and materials required for projects to ensure accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
Requirements
  • Education: You must have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: You must have 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Work Environment: You must be able to work at heights, in noisy, dusty environments, and be physically demanding.
  • Work Setting: You must be able to work in various locations, including construction sites, commercial, and residential settings.
  • Transportation: You must have your own transportation to travel to work sites.
