Job Title: Veterinary Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Dr. Zaeem ul Islam Veterinary Medicine Professional Corporation.

Job Summary:

The Veterinary Assistant will provide support to our veterinarians and veterinary technicians in the care and treatment of animals. This includes handling and restraining animals, assisting with medical procedures, and providing nursing care and rehabilitation therapy.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle, restrain, and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
  • Assist veterinarians before, during, and after surgery
  • Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
  • Conduct and assist in laboratory research
  • Perform a variety of office management and clerical duties
  • Provide wound and bandage care
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Develop and maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a veterinary setting
  • Equivalent experience in a related field
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
