We are seeking a highly skilled Master Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Rock Country in Thompson. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing complex vehicle systems.

**Job Summary:**

An estimated salary of $65,000 - $90,000 per year is offered for this position. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and repair faults using computerized diagnostic tools.

  • The successful candidate will hold a valid Automotive Service Technician Certification of Qualification or equivalent experience, with completion of a four-year apprenticeship program or over four years of work experience in the field.
  • A Red Seal endorsement is available to qualified technicians upon successful completion of the interprovincial Red Seal examination.

Responsibilities:

  1. Inspect motor vehicles in operation, perform road tests, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic devices to diagnose and isolate faults.
  2. Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems, including fuel systems, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems.
  3. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications.
  4. Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups.
