About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Decor-Rest Furniture Ltd. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, and disinfect operating rooms and other areas.
  • Housekeeping and Cleaning Duties: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, and maintain the overall cleanliness of the facility.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure that all areas of the facility are secure and safe, and that all cleaning equipment and supplies are stored properly.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and overtime required.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs), up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs), and up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, values and ethics, patience, and honesty.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Health Benefits: Paramedical services coverage.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
