Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Truck System Specialist to join our team at Summit Auto Centre Inc.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, discuss work with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
  • Quality Control: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications, ensuring quality workmanship.
  • Estimating: Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Training: Coach and instruct apprentices in automotive repair techniques.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
  • Steel-toed safety boots required.
