Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer will oversee the financial and risk management functions within APS, reporting directly to the President and CEO. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing a financial strategy aligned with APS's strategic plan
  • Managing internal control programs to ensure reliable risk identification and management
  • Leading and overseeing the budgeting process, accounting operations, and payables/receivables management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA or Master's Degree highly desirable)
  • Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation
  • Experience with Risk Management and/or Internal Audit evidenced by a designation or certification
  • PUBLIC SECTOR PENSION ADMINISTRATION INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE IS DESIRABLE
  • EXPERIENCE IN FINANCIAL REPORTING AND AUDIT PRACTICES
