Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Sunrise Farms. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for providing maintenance expertise to ensure company objectives are supported and departmental downtime goals are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Overhaul and install new equipment.
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and building maintenance.
  • Generate parts requests to ensure adequate inventory.
  • Complete work orders as assigned by the Maintenance Manager and/or Senior Management in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform production line changes and production line setups as required.
  • General Housekeeping – maintain tools, shop area, and parts storage in good working order.
  • Able to perform repair, replacement, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting in various equipment and systems.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Microsoft Excel: Create spreadsheet, format, print, etc.

Requirements:

  • Completion and Possession of a red-seal Interprovincial Millwright Ticket.
  • Have 1 to 3 years related experience preferred.
  • Able to work flexible shifts.
  • Ability to operate machinery and have basic computer skills.
  • Experience in a food processing & cooking facility is an asset.
  • Be success-driven and have a "can-do" attitude.
  • Be able to work independently, as well as be a strong team player.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Have a good attendance and safety record.
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability to take up additional duties and cross-train.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to wet and cold conditions.
  • Exposure to excessive noise.
  • Physically demanding (lifting, pushing/pulling and bending).
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Overtime and Weekend work as required.
