We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technologist to join our team at ROYAL DESIGN CENTRE. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of engineering specifications and drawings, preparing construction specifications, costs and material estimates, and supervising or conducting field surveys, inspections, technical investigations and testing of construction materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements
  • Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates
  • Prepare project schedules
  • Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations and testing of construction materials
  • Prepare recommendations and reports for the construction or improvement of civil engineering projects
  • Communicate with other workers to co-ordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments
