About the Role:

Rogers Sports & Media is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Activation Specialist to join our team in Timmins. As a key member of our programming team, you will be responsible for representing our stations at various events and activations throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute station events and on-site promotions, including setup and teardown of signage, equipment, and branded vehicles.
  • Attend major station promotions, client events, and non-profit street team events as required.
  • Assist in sourcing events to support and attend, and organize on-site aspects of community cruiser programs.
  • Proactively engage and interact with listeners, contest winners, clients, and the general public.
  • Brand and market the Rogers radio properties in a professional manner to entertain crowds with music, games, and prizing.
  • Establish strong relationships with other team members and key partners.
  • Maintain and take promotional inventory, including signage, prizing, and equipment in the station storage area.
  • Use and understand station social media pages while on location.
  • Provide regular event feedback to the Branded Content and Integrations Leads.
  • Assist the team with office work, such as preparing guest lists, preparing web contests, and analyzing contest results.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the market and ability to take initiative, self-manage, and flourish in a team environment.
  • High energy, outgoing, and eager to initiate conversation with the public.
  • Independent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, occasionally on short notice.
  • Experience with social media, Wordpress, and video editing software an asset.
  • Valid CLASS G driver's license and ability to set up station equipment (lifting up to 50 pounds).
